Prima Craftsman Tin Shadow Box

Hey Everyone,

   Well today I have a very different project for you..... I made this Tin Shadow Box using the new Prima Craftsman Collection.

It was very challenging for me to work with this collection but I still challenged myself and I have to admit that I had a really fun time working on this.  I used a recycle tin that I had and made it into a shadow box to display all of the wonderful embellishments and trinkets from this collection.

I really love the colors of this paper and there is so much you can do with it!!! My honey was finally happy that I was able to make something manly for him so this is my very first one LOL

Cherish Shabby Chic Prima Canvas

Happy Monday Everyone,

   Today I would like to share with you this canvas that I made for Prima CHA featuring their beautiful new flowers and resin embellishments.

 I used a few photos of my little Bengal Cat.... he is my little buddy and I adore him!!!!!  I used a lot of texture and embellishments to create this canvas.

I wanted to be very soft and shabby chic so I just used creams and white colors ;) I enjoyed making it and I hope you all like it too!!!!!

Summer Beach Prima Zephyr Layout

Hey Everyone,

   Today I want to share with you my Prima Zephyr Layout.  I had created this layout for Summer CHA using the collection.

This collection is so beautiful all of the blue and bright colors reminds me of Summer :) I went with a beach theme for this layout.  I did a lot of texture and layers to this layout its one of my favorite things to do when working on them.  I LOVE the beach...its one of my favorite places to go during the summer!!!!

I also went back to the beach where this photo was taken and collected a few pieces of shells and little wood sticks to make my layout appear more real.  I had so much fun creating this layout and I hope you all enjoy it too!!!

Shabby Chic Tea Thyme Frame Configuration Box

Hi Everyone,

   I want to share with you a very fun project that I did for Prima.  Its a configuration box with a little twist.  I made the configuration box into a frame for my shabby chic studio.

I've been wanting to create a configuration box for awhile and I finally had the chance to.  It took me awhile but I really like how it turned out.  I used the beautiful Tea Thyme Collection by Prima.

All of the embellishments and flowers are from Prima.  Prima has the perfect little treasures for these configuration boxes.

I added a lot of different details and items.... I love to use as many details as I can on my projects.

Prima Designers Day - Juliana Montoya

Hey Everyone!!!! My name is Juliana Montoya and I am very exited to share with you a little bit about me.  First, I want to start by saying that being a designer for Prima is a dream come true.  I am so grateful and excited about this opportunity and like many of you I have been a fan of Prima since day one.  I started scrap booking about two years ago and I fell in love with it the very first day.  From a very young age I started playing with papers, flowers and paint.... I love painting too :) Many times during my school years, I got in trouble because I kept playing with my books and making little things out of the pages and added any stickers I could find.. I have always loved to work with my hands and let my imagination go.......and create.

I love to create anything from cards, tags, layouts, mini albums, mixed media to altered projects.  I was born and raised in Costa Rica and grew up surrounded by nature, warm beaches, animals and beautiful peaceful landscapes, therefore, I enjoy anything outdoors.  I love hiking, camping, swimming and playing with my two little fur balls (Kimbo & Kuki), my two babies kittens. I predominately like the soft shabby chic and vintage style, however, I do love to challenge myself by working with many other different colors and styles.

Besides my passion for scrap booking I also enjoy other hobbies such as reading, writing, photography, dancing, singing, traveling and of course antique shopping.  I love to visit a lot of different vintage/antique shops and finding very unique items.... many of them, I use for altering or to inspire me to create.

Now let's take a look at a few things that I created for Prima.  I am loving all of the new collection from this summer release.  I love every collection but of course, I do have a few favorites. I will start with my all time favorite collection, Tea Thyme.

I created this Shabby Chic Configuration Box with a little twist.  Instead of using a box I used a frame that way it displays better on my wall.  I used many different embellishments and flowers from the collection.  I had so much fun putting this together and the Prima embellishments were a perfect fit :)

I love the new resin pieces and flowers from Prima.  I created this canvas with a few photos of one of my baby kittens.  He is a Bengal and is very photogenic :) 

I added a lot of texture to this canvas... texture is one of my favorite things to do on my work.

One of my other favorite paper lines is the Zephyr Collection.  The colors of this collection makes me think of the warm blue beaches that I grew up by.  Also reminds me of summer :) I used some of the new Prima flowers and embellishments from the collection.

Shabby Chic Tea Thyme Cigar Box

Hey Everyone!!!!

   Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!!! I want to share with you this Shabby Chic Tea Thyme Cigar Box that I altered using beautiful trims and laces from AThingforBling Etsy Store.

I am really excited to be designing for this new Etsy store and I can't wait to share with you more projects using their trims and laces ;)

AThingforBling carries all sorts of beautiful vintage laces and very elegant trims.  They also sell gorgeous appliques perfect for any projects.  This box is full with those laces and trims....I used the Prima Tea Thyme Collection one more time because its my favorite!!!!!!!

I also made a few handmade flowers for the box and these gorgeous very vintage gloves.... that was my main focus for this project.  Added a few pieces of jewelry and a few appliques that I've been collecting for awhile.

Vintage Shabby Chic Wine Decanter & Bottle
